Kevin,

My wife Amy and I are praying for Student Ministries, Hope in General and our Multi-Sites. We were thrilled with Pastor Mike's "Chat" this weekend, and came home to discuss our personal giving and "sacrifices."

I believe the Multi-Sites are God's will - and he WILL foot the bill. I pray that Mike's talk struck a nerve in everyone at Hope, and that all of us (including Amy and I) will fully trust in the Lord - realizing that all we have is His anyway.

Keep up the updates and good work.

Just curious, for those of us who filled out the commitment forms and identified where we would love to help, do we need to sigh up again? When will we be hearing that our talents are needed?

Change is not easy. Change takes us out of our comfort zone - but just for awhile until it becomes our new comfort zone. I, too, have been in a church where change was considered a "bad" thing. Most of the changes there were being implemented to reach those that were not already in the church. We are thrilled to be a part of a church that WANTS to "be the change".

Oh how true are the words spoken by Kevin regarding change. I have been a member of many churches who are stagnant or are just unwilling to make the changes that seem obvious. We get comfortable with the worship music, we get comfortable with the same people volunteering over and over again, we get comfortable in our small groups. How often have we heard ourselves saying "I like things the way they are", "I hope they don't change the worship music", "I hope they don't change the service times"? It seems to me that as believers we need to be pioneers in getting the message of Christ to the non believers. We need to be innovative, we need to be willing to do things differently, we need to go the extra mile to be effective. I am so excited to be a part of a church that has a leadership that is unafraid to be bold and step out in faith. Are you ready to do the same?

I think for myself the new campus will provide a better opportunity to connect to other 'Men of Hope'. Hopefully the rest of my family will be able connect with new people and stay connected with people they already have connections with.

DeAnnah:

Thanks for asking! We'll work to make this clearer in the future. To join the core you just make a commitment to (1) Pray earnestly, (2) Go joyfully, (3) Serve faithfully, and (4) Give generously. While we do enough everyone to attend a membership class, you do not have to be an official member to join the Morrisville core.

You're right, multi-sites are a highly successful. Come join us in launching the new Morrisville campus!

Hi there!

Can you tell me how to go about joining the Morrisville core group? We attend HCC but are not currently "members." Do you have to be an official Member of Hope to join the core group?

I live in West Cary currently and came from a church in Charlotte that has multi-site campuses and they are a huge success! I would be interested in learning more about the new Morrisville site and getting the word out to my friends and neighbors!

Thanks so much!
